Elements 2023 - how do I retain my crop settings?

I've just installed Elements 2023 on a new Windows 11 PC, my previous PC having died in the week.

I always use the Expert tab.

My default crop size is 1800 x 1080 pixels.  In the past - for years - Elements has remembered this setting.

Now, whenever I open an image file to edit, the crop size is the actual image size, so I have to enter my 1800 x 1080 px setting every time.  As I process up to 50 images a day, this is irritating!

How do I convince Elements to remember my crop setting?

Thanks for any help.

@Strid3r111 Try resetting the preferences file. Go to the Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

Problem solved! As soon as I posted this, I saw a link to an earlier request, followed the instructions in the answer, and crop is now co-operating.
