Elements 2024 Organizer folder tree expand and collapse not working

I'm trying to use Elements Organizer 2024.  Using the Tree structure view, I have always been able to expand and collapse folders.  Now, with 2024, the (+) sign no longer will expand and I need to right click and choose expand.  Once the folder is expanded, it can't be collapsed....apparently, ever.  No drop down choice to collapse, the (+) expanse link doesn't change to a (-), I have restarted the program, restarted the computer....  I have expanded folders from months ago than don't collapse.  Is there a setting someplace I'm missing, to enable this? Finding myself a bit frustrated.

Because of these issues, I am still using 2022 Organizer, since 2024 is essentually useless in it's current situation.  Wouldn't mind using the updated software, so thought I'd see if anyone has seen this issue and discovered a solution.  I was not able to find a solution in my searching of past posts.

Using Mac laptop with M1 chip and all the OS and file updates available.

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

You are the first person I have seen to report this as an issue.  Are you sure you are in Tree View?   Elements 2024 doesn't have a +sign in tree view. (At least, not in Windows.) It has been replaced by a right-facing chevron arrow.

If you are in Tree View, have you chosen Show All Sub-folders from a context menu?

Hi Greg.  Thank  you for your response.  Correct, it is the chevron arrow in the Mac as well.  I didn't know what to call it, so I defaulted to calling it the plus and minus symbols as has been used in the past. Choosing "Show all sub-folders"  is how I can expand the folder diretory structure.  I confirmed again, that it is in the Tree View.  I just expanded a new folder and tested it, and it now will not collapse. I  have tried clicking the chevron symbol, clicking the "Show all sub-folders" again hoping it would act as a toggle back and forth, closed down the application as well as restarted the computer...the test folder is still expanded.  Not sure what else to try to collapse the folders.  I feel like there must be a click someplace to enable it, but I'm not finding it.  There are lots of photo and some videos that it is managing, but 2022 organizer handles the same group without issue.
