Elements 2024 Organizer Mark Face problem

Manually marking People faces.

Finish one image and advance to the next one by using the arrow keys. "Mark Face" icon is greyed out.

Only way I found to make it active again is by using the arrow keys to move back and forward again.

    What OS are you using?  I just tried it on Windows 11 and it is working fine.  And when you say "arrows" are you talking about keyboard arrows or navigation arrows.  (Both worked for me.)

     

    And has face recognition been completed on the images you are tagging?  If analysis has not been started, you may get an error message to wait for analysis to be completed before you can use the Mark Face button.

    Windows 11. 

    The manual face recognition worked fine at first but at some point started this behavior. I could not tell what changed.

    The problem happened with either the keyboard arrows or the navigation arrows above the image.

    The automatic face recognition was completed yesterday and there were no error messages.  There did seem to be some message flashing for a second every time it happened, but there was no way to read it or slow it.

    The automatic process misses a lot of faces that are turned a little or have obstructions like glasses and/or long hair.
