Elements 2026 Changing Time Metadata during Multiple File Processing

I recently installed Elements 2026.  I had downloaded a number of photos from the iCloud in HEIC format.  I was using the Process Multiple Files dialog to simply change to JPEG.  Selections:  Input source directory;  "Same as Source" for destination; Convert Files to:  JPEG Max Quality.  When imported into the organizer the DateTimeOriginal is not shown in the Metadata and the Date Time is set to to the Date Created time stamp (time of importing).  Therefore, the photo is out of sequence against others when sorting based on Newest Date.  In addition there is no camera information displayed in the MetaData .  NOTE:  I still have Elements 2025 installed and this does not happen when using the same process.  The Date Time Original is correct and displayed in the organizer.  How can I get this reported as a potential bug?  Screen shot of Windows File Explorer attached showing the two sets of files.

Thanks for the information.  I had already confirmed your findings in my own tests and am reporting this as a bug along with some other similar issues that have been reported by others.

I will see if this is similar to a problem with iPhone photo dates that I have observed.  I will also try to reproduce what you have reported and advise Adobe of the problem.

BTW, where are you looking for the metadata?  In my experience, the correct date taken is saved in the file which allows change to the correct date and time.  I don't have an example to show you, but I would be looking under the Complete metadata record if you don't see it in the standard view.  See my screenshot below:

Thank you for the reply.  Attached is an image of 3 metadata files of the same picture - The first is the original HEIC; The second used Process Multiple Files to JPG under Adobe Express 2026; and the third used Process Multiple Files to JPG under Adobe Express 2025.  All three were imported into the 2026 Photo Organizer, where I captured the metadata.  You can see the issue with the time stamps and camera info.  This causes photos to be out of order in the organizer.
