Elements 5.0 program error

Hi-- I have Elements 5.0. Windows 7. All of a sudden my elements refuses to save my changes to an image. It tells me: "Could not complete request because of program error." I have made no changes in my computer. It's a mystery. Help is appreciated.

    Hi there,

    Sorry to hear that, would suggest you to reset the preferences file of Photoshop elements.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Close Elements.

    2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.

    3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.

    Also, check your file naming when you save and unsure no double periods e.g.

    Img_1234.jpg.jpg
