Elements 9 - cannot register

I bought Elements 9 back then (around year 2010) and have a original CD.

Now we have 2024 and I do not have the old comp and a new comp do not have a CD reader, but still have the original Elements 9 on CD.

I wanted to download the digital version. I read that I need to register it first to see a download link.

The problem is that when I proceed with the serial number the page says the SN is already registered.

I do not have the old comp. and now what?

. . .  and if you run into a too many program installations message, you will have to contact Adobe Support and ask them to reset the activations.

If you click on this link, it should take you to the Products page of your Adobe account.  (You may have to sign in.)  Scroll down below the Register a product box and your registered products should be shown with a download link and the serial number.

I assume you only looked at the Register a product box because you received a message that your serial number has already been registered.  If you don't see the information, perhaps you registered it with a different email account.  I should also mention that although I have registered serial numbers showing for every version since version 3, the earliest download link I have is for version 10.  But I recall someone else mentioning that they found a download link for version 9 in the Products page.

Another alternative is to copy the contents of the CD to a thumb drive using a computer with an optical disc reader, and then installing on your new computer from the thumb drive.
