Elements 9 Unable to continue because of hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable

Tried option+command+shift and deleting and reinstalling and nothing works on new MacBook. How can I fix this? I don't want to have to update photoshop just because I got a new mac...photoshop is so expensive! HELP PLEASE!!

    We recommend you to please download and use the Trial version of 2018 and if you wish can upgrade your Elements 9 to 2018 version.
