Elements closes when asked to print

I have two computers. Both have Photoshop Elements 2025 installed. If I try to print from either of the computers Elements closes.

My old version of Photoshop (CS6) has no problem printing. I also have the latest version of Affinity and again I have no problem printing from it. I have tried all the fixes suggested by contributors to the Adobe and other forums without success.

My computers run Windows 11 pro. The printer is a humble Canon G650 Pixma. Can any of you bright people suggest a solution?

Thank you.

John

Does this happen in the Editor, the Organizer or both?  What OS are you using?  Are you getting any error messages?

In the Editor, try resetting the preferences file. Go to the Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

If that doesn't fix the problem, try reinstalling your printer driver.

Just an update. I hadn’t tried it but the program will print from Organiser. I have reset the preferences again in Editor but still it closes without printing.

Thank you. I have tried this solution a number of times. I will now migrate to the Elements forum. At 85 can’t afford Photoshop any more!!
