After starting Photoshop Elements 24 (WIndows), it starts-up and then the program is not responding to any mouse action for about 20 seconds. I reinstalled elements and nothing changed. I used an other Windows accounts and the problem is the same. Motherboard MSI MAG b550M Mortar, Ryzen 7 5800X, 2x SSD 970EVO plus, 1x WD 6TB, GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2x 12G OC.

I solved the problem. I did a fresh install of the GeForce 30 graphics driver. I installed the NVIDEA studio driver. Now it works and responds immediately. Thanks for your help.

Are you using the Organizer?  And have you recently added any photos or videos to your catalog.  If so, the media analysis (smart tags, face recognition and generation of auto-creations) can interfere with the Editor.  You can try going to the Organizer's  Edit>Preferences>Media Analysis tab and uncheck all the boxes to see if that makes any difference.  If it does, recheck the boxes and then leave your computer on overnight for the analysis to complete.

No, I don't use the organizer. All the Organizer's  Edit>Preferences>Media Analysis boxes are unchecked. I have deleted yhe pref file for Elements Editor. I dit a clean install (first deleted all traces of Elements in the roaming directory an Windows apps directory).

I also use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom classis without problems.
