Elements is only printing to my default printer

We have three printers that we need to print to as they each have a different paper/canvas in them; they are the Canon Pro 2100, 2600 and 4100. When we try to print to any of the printers they only print to the 2100.

The 2100 is set as the default printer for the PC but if we let Windows manage the default printer, then we get an error of "because the defualt printer could not be opened" whenever we try to print.

I have tried resetting the preferences in the app (by going to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button) but it only solves the issue for a few prints before we run into the same issue again. Is there something more permanent that we can do?

I've read into this: from posts 11 and 12 years ago: unistall and reinstall the basic printer software. with older printers you may to hunt for the software.

Sounds like the printers are connected via some sort off hub, correct?

what happens if you don't use the wifi, but plug a cable directly into the printer?

Due to the nature of the setup, we do not have the ability to plug in a cable as the device we are having an issue with is a desktop PC and the printers are in a print room
