Elements Organize Places appear as Events

Question

My PSE 2019 catalog contained many places in a hierarchy of Country/Provice/City/Street etc. After converting to PSE 2022 some of the lowest level names were converted to the new map-based type tags but without a map location but the higher level grouping tags (Country/Provice etc.) were converted to events.

I have been able to place the lowest level places on the map but when I put, say, an event-type Country on the map it still appears as an Event (under the Places category). However, it also seems to have map data and in some images the tags include both Place and Event versions.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I have since had a look at the PSE SQLite database and find that the tag_table shows the type_name offending places as "user_event" rather than "user_place". When changed the "user_event" type_name to "user_place", the place appeared correctly as a place, not an event. However, the change completely destroyed all place tag associations to both media and location data, so there is clearly something I'm missing.

If anyone can help me with this I'd deeply appreciate it.
