Elements organizer on different Macs

Question

Very new to PE Organizer. 2020 version I wish to find a replacement for Apple Aperture and Photo. Loaded PE and PEO: I like to keep my Pictures files both jpg and raw (different cameras) on external SSD and use one iMac and one MBP to edit. Until now I only use P Element to edit but never used Organizer. How is the Elements cataloge created and were is it saved ? It takes a lot of time to analize places and faces. Will it be possible to copy the catalog from one Mac to the other and get the same catalog ready to be used ?

Hi Valter,

Yes it is possible to do so. All you need to do is take a backup of the original catalog, and restore it on the new machine. To take a backup, you need to open the organizer, go to File->Backup->Full Backup. Then copy the backup to new machine. Open Elements Organizer. Go to file->Restor Catalog, and provide location of the backup file on the new machne. Your catalog will be restored as is with all analyses. Please let us know if you face any issue.
