"error applying keyword tags" in adobe elements 2022 how can I fix it?

I have MANY album tags and album categories. I just tried to create 2 new ones, it created it but when I go to apply the tag to a picture I get "error applying keyword tags" message. The new album category is not highlighted as the other ones are. I can apply existing tags but not any new ones. Help!!

How are you trying to create the new album? If you right-click on the Category or Sub-Category for which you are trying to create the new album, you will be given the option to do so. Your screenshots seem to show that you have other categories or albums selected when creating the new album, not the Travels 2024 category.

The error message you posted is related to Keyword Tags. Albums are something different. Can you please give us more details about your problem. Also, show us a screenshot of the Album or Keyword Tags hierarchy that is causing the issue.

I can't create any new album categories. I created a "tavel 2024" under the main albums - it will not give me an option to create a sub album under that now, as you can see from screen shot, it's not an option. Look further down, I have tavel albums by year, then sub albums under those

Next screen shot shows if I try to create a new album, the Travels 2024 is no longer an album I can create a new category under, but when Ichoose one of the existing ones, I can't tag it. My keyword tags are all fine, though I have not tried to create a new one.
