error occcurring opening jpg files in photoshop12
Translation from Italian error message : " impossible to open because mark SOFn DQT or DHT JPGis not present before mark JPG SOS"

This error message is commonly dispayed for images downloaded from Internet social media applications like Whattsapp. They contain non standard fields in the metadata section of the jpeg which PSE rejects for safety. The known workaround is to use one of the free simple photo editor on your computer and to re-save them from the same editor. Those editors don't read such metadata nor save them. The PSE editor will open the re-saved copies.
Another workaround has been to use the 'Open in ACR' command to open such files in the ACR converter plugin. The bad metadata should be ignored.
