Guten Abend,

obwohl in den Voreinstellung Exif-Kameradaten ignorieren deaktiviert ist, bleibt von allen Exif-Daten nur die verwendete Zeit erhalten. Alles andere ist weg.

Kamera Canon EOS 7D

Photoshop Elements 2023

Wer kennt eine Lösung

Could you post a screenshot of where you find the dialog for "den Voreinstellung Exif-Kameradaten ignorieren deaktiviert ist"?

I don't find it in the preferences' nor in the downloader options.

Hallo,

please see the two screenshots in the added pdf-file.

Thanks,

Your screenshot is hardly visible, but it confirms what I suspected: the option is to skip importing "captions" which are small free texts you normally use as titles or short descriptions of your images. That feature has been added as a filter to avoid camera manufacturers like Olympus filling that metadata field with their brand name as advertisement. That's why it is of no use at all for most users.

So, since you say the problem arises when you save the file, I would think that the downloading stage does indeed records the exif data and existing keywords or captions in the catalog and keeps them in the imported files themselves. Then you say that only the field 'date-taken' is kept and all other metadata fields are skipped when saving. The only explanation I can see is that you are using the command 'Save for web' instead of  'Save as' or 'Save'. That Save for web command is precisely used to ignore most of those metadata fields like exif to get smaller file sizes.

(Sorry to reply in English, but you are welcome to write in German.)
