Question

Exportieren sämtlicher Alben in Ordner

I'm not sure all the news is bad.  😉

I ask for my mom who has hundreds of GB of photos in Elements that I see as files outside of Organizer but only in a SINGLE, unsorted giant folder!

I think you may be confused about how the Organizer works.  It does not contain any of the photos stored on the computer.  It is merely a database which catalogs where the files are stored.   The only time all of the files would be in a single giant folder would be if that is where they are stored on your mother's computer.  I suspect that you are just looking at the main Media Grid which presents the files in an order that may be changed via the Sort By: menu:

If your mother has her files in normal folders, they can be accessed by making sure you have the Folders panel open and that you choose the option to View as tree which can be found by using the "hamburger" button next to the My Folders heading:

If the files are indeed in a single folder on the computer, and you want to move them to a folder hierarchy that replicates the Albums that have been created in the Organizer, it would be possible to do that with a little bit of effort.

  • First select the Album
  • Select an image in the Album
  • Press Ctrl+A to select all of the photos in the Album
  • In the File menu, go to Export As New File(s)
  • In the dialog that opens Browse to the location where you want the files stored
  • In the Browse dialog, Create a new folder and give it the name of the Album
  • Select the new folder and click OK
  • Click the Export button

Now this may take a lot of work.  So I have to ask you why you (or your mother) don't wish to use the Organizer to view the photos?  I have over 200 thousand photos.  I wouldn't think of viewing them in Windows File Explorer.  I can find any photo I am looking for in the Organizer in seconds.

ADDED:  I should add that the files in the new Windows Explorer folders will not appear in the Organizer (unless you import them to the catalog) and you will have duplicate files on the computer.  This would be good if you stored them on an external hard drive as it would act as a backup of the photos.  But this is why I am asking you why you want to do this.

Thanks for your tips and recommendations. To your question at the end: I
really don't like apps/configurations such as the Elements Organizer,
because for me it doesn't make any sense. And, above all, as becomes
obvious now, when you want to change or no longer use it, you are
absolutely dependent on the app!! So one is actually completely at the
mercy of Adobe!!

I have my own photos in a neat windows folder structure with subfolders
for each year, which in return contain subfolders for every two months
(and sometimes a 7th or 8th subfolder for a special holiday or event
with a great number of pictures). Inside each of the smallest folders
(for example January-February_2019) the pictures are numbered
chronologically vom 1 to xxx. So everything is clear, easy to find and I
ALWAYS KNOW EXACTLY WHERE MY PICTURE DATA ARE SAVED PHYSICALLY. And the
entire structure can have a backup on another drive as well as a cloud
drive, so they are always save and secure!

This does not solve the problem with my mother's photos, so I have to
find another way (and it will be a lot of work for me (or her, after I
have instructed her on how to do it), ...

Kind regards,

Christian

Sorry, there is no way to achieve what you want. I don't like to bring bad news, but there is nothing common between the virtual organization of your catalogs and the hierarchical folder tree  of the Explorer.

The organizer "albums" are simple sorted lists of files (="playlists").

You can only export individual albums, each in their own folder.

You can't export a selection of files keeping their original subfolders tree sucture, only in a single destination folder.
