Hello and Thanks

What are the proper dimensins to post photo on facebook ? My photos which are reworked comicbook covers are getting cut off with initial post. . However when one is clicked on it is fully visable. Someone here suggested I drag a photo onto a standard sized clean page from photo bin to the working area. The working area suggested was 1200 px width and  1630  px high unless I got it wrong. Thanks

Here is an official Facebook Help page

The issue you may be facing is that the people viewing your post/profile are using different devices with different resolutions and dimensions.

In the past, FB has changed the official recommended dimensions, and your images are going to be compressed and even cropped, depending on all the variables involved.  In order to prevent FB's alterations from affecting image quality, it is probably better to upload the image as a .png file.  It is also probably better to increase the original pixel dimensions to fit the suggested aspect ratios.

I have only worried about FB image sizes for when I ran FB Ads for my website--- other than that I think you can generally not be that concerned about sizes--- handheld devices accounted for more than 60% of my website traffic so that is what I worried about.

Thanks. I am quite befuddled by the cutoff images. I have no idea when it changed. The image is clipped only in the news feed. I might try to alter to that.
