Facial Recognition - Confirmed Faces Missing

Using Adobe Elements Organizer 2018. In the PEOPLE tab under "Confirmed Faces" as well as the lower "Is this . . . ?," there are circles in which the identified person's face appears. While most have a photo, every now and then is an empty circle that shows a small bathroom door type outline of a person. If you hold the cursor over the circle, a photo appears and you can see whether the identification is correct, and it usually is. But how do you get the icon to change to an actual photo in the circle? Time doesn't seem to solve the problem, and the faces don't appear to be considered thumbnails.

I have observed this behavior as well (fortunately only in about 4% of the faces) and believe it happens when the face program picks a corrupted imported image as a profile picture. You can select a different picture and set it as the profile picture with a right click. You can then edit the corrupt picture using Editor (a simple quick fix and a resave will generally do it) It is one of the many Organizer quirks/bugs that I have ran into and had to develop a workaround until a maintenance fix is issued.
