Failure to install download of Elements 2022 for trial

I've downloaded Elements 2022 for trial.  It will not install.  Before installing, Task Manager tells me there are no other applications running.  When I try to install, Error 81 tells me that another installer running preventing Elements from installing.  Task Manager tells me that the only installer running is the one trying to install Elements 2022!

The only other Adobe application installed on my computer is Acrobat Reader and that is not running.

Without help, I cannot install and will not be able to purchase Elements 2022.

What OS are you running?  

TRY THIS:  turn your computer all the way off, then back on, then try the installer you downloaded.

Thank you Glenn,

1. My OS is Windows 10 Pro, version 20H2, installed in October 2020.

2. My computor is always completely switched off daily when not in use,
but his does not resolve the failure to install.  I've now got hold of
email address for Adobe Customer Team -  I'll contact them for their
assistance.
