Failure to open psd file in 15 from elements 12

Upgraded from 12 to 15. Converted organizer data base. Editor will not open psd file from the new organizer.

Does it mean you can open those psd files from the editor (File >> Open...) and not from the organizer? If so, what happens when you try, do you get an error message?

I cannot move them from organizer to editor. I get a message "that it is not the right kind of document". Jpg's converted to psd files in 15 act normally and move rom organizer to; editor.
