Feathering a section of an image

If I lighen a small area of an image, how can i feather this in to blend in with the rest of the image?

Which version of PSE are you using? There are several ways to do this, e.g. feathering a selection when using the magnetic lasso tool, or with a mask, etc.

In PSE2024, when you open the Guided edit tab in the editor, there is a Vignette effect wish may be suitable for your purpose.
