filter not opening

Something strange is going on today. Now, I want to open a composite image in Filter Gallery. The one I want to open will not appear but its one lawyer does. That is not want I want. Yes, the layers were flattened and saved as a jpg. The one image I'm sending shows the composite and the other image shows a layer. The composite image will not open in Filter Gallery. I am using Photoshop Elements 2021 on windows 10.

You can reset the Filter Gallery by pressing Cmd or Ctrl then clicking Default.

That removes all filters from the image.

Hello, I tried opening the images attatched at my end and i was able to open them in Filter gallery. Can you pleasde try once again after relaunching the App.

Inspiring

I discovered what the problem was. It is an undesirable feature of
Photoshop Elements. The problem I was having was that the image was
opening in the filter gallery *according to what was last used.* instead
of opening the original image. I discovered that if I clicked on a
different filter the unwanted image changed to each new filter and I was
able to turn the totally abstract image back to it's original state.
