First time potential user after simple advice prior to ordering product Photoshop Elements 2019

Hello.

I hope that someone can help. Please excuse my total ignorance. I am considering purchasing Photoshop Elements 2019. I am actually only interested in the various artistic options that the program offers and do not want the program to automatically sort out my countless photograph folders as I am very happy with the way that they currently are. Can I VERY easily prevent the Elements program from organising my folders? Secondly if I purchase do I have to pay any additional monthly fees in the future or is the program indefinitely mine to use for as long as it is compatible with Windows? Many thanks...I hope someone can help. Gerald

You have nothing to do. Can't be easier.

First, Elements offers a powerful organization tool which you can totally ignore.

By the way, that tool does never manage your folders automatically. Yes it can provide the same manual commands for folders as the Explorer or folder if you want. But it's much smarter than that because it works with keywords and categories in catalogs  managed with databases. Once again, you can simply ignore and never use the organizer.

Secondly if I purchase do I have to pay any additional monthly fees in the future or is the program indefinitely mine to use for as long as it is compatible with Windows? Many thanks...I hope someone can help. Gerald

Elements is not a subscription software, it is 'permanent'. That means you have a license to use it permanently with no additional cost. Be aware that the problem in future years may be if you have to change your OS (Win or Mac) or your hardware. Nothing will guarantee you that your Elements version will work then. That's true for any software. You'll have the software and the right to use it, but will the OS be compatible?

    Important:

Download and install the trial version first. It's fully operational for 30 days. Only pay if it's ok for you. You won't have to reinstall if you do, you'll simply have to add your purchased license key.
