Font capture hangs on exit

I have installed Elements 2021 on a Windows 10 machine. When powering down the computer, whethter I have used Elements or not, the computer hangs with the message "Font Capture - application error. This app is preventing shutdown". I have the exact message copied from Event Viewer if it helps. I have a copy of CS 3 on the machine but needed an updated Canon raw handling of Elements.
