Hi can someone help advise on how I can increase the font size please in Photoshop Elements 2018 at the moment it is quite small, I have google it but unable to find the character to which it says to change it.

The issue (for me) is the font size within the application itself, not the font size within the text tool.

When you click on the T in the toolbar on the left a lot of changeable information comes up under the left lower corner of the image.

One of them is a small window to the right of the word "Size" Type the size you want (unit is in points),

If you want to use a unit of measure different from points:

Edit -> Preferences -> Type

You can change to pixels or mm.

Don't forget to click O.K.if you change the Type

Do you mean the font size when using the Text tool or the size of the text in the menus in the PSE interface?

Legend

Type a value manually into the font size box. You are not limited to 72 as shown in the pull-down menu. Try entering 100 or 150 etc.
