Several of my fonts are not showing on PSE 2023. I have tried all the suggestions I can find and nothing is working. I have PSE 7 and they all show there. Can anyone help?

FYI,

I have just discovered a workaround for this bug in PSE 2023 & PSE 2024 on a WINDOWS PC. I don't know if it may work on a Mac.

I was browsing my C: drive looking for something and saw a "Fonts" folder in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe." When I started to drill down into the folder, I discovered two folders:

  • "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts\EO\21\"
  • "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts\EO\24\"

that contained 134 otf font files. So, I thought, what the hell, and I copied my "mvboli.ttf" font file into the folder.

IT WORKS! I can now use the MV Boli font in PSE 2023 & PSE 2024.

This screenshot is PSE 2024.

They are not type 1 fonts.

It looks like the issue is only in photoshop elements 2023 (mac and windows) since those fonts

Hello Lovely & The Fox Office show and are usable in both photoshop elements 2022 and

photoshop 2023 as per my own testing.

Can you give us the names of some of the fonts?

Are these Type 1 fonts?

What version of Windows are you using?

Are pse 7 and pse 2023 on the same windows install?

Hello Lovely & The Fox Office are two of them.   She originally posted in a FB group.   She has tried resetting preferences.  I installed hello lovely font and got her same results.   The character map for the font includes Hangul (Korean), Chinese and Japanese characters.

She also has tried this:

Navigate to the path C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local. If a warning dialog pops up saying you don't have permission to access this folder, just click on Continue to allow access. Then delete all . dat files that start with FontCache.  She said there were 6 dat file she could not delete as they were "in use".   I've tried stopping the font cache service, then deleting the .dat files mention earlier.

I followed these instructions:  https://recoverit.wondershare.com/erase-data/how-to-clear-font-cache-on-windows.html

Glenn,

Do you any older versions of photoshop elements that you've tried?
