Format changes

Hi there,

I am using Photoshop Elements 2020.

I took pictures wirh my Canaon 80D and my files have the format 6000 x 4000, i have tried to download them all from the SD card in Elements but when i open the files in Elements they are showed in a square format 4000 x 4000. Anybody there who kows how i can rectify this? If i put the card back in the camera i see the complete original version (6000 x 4000) but now also with the kader of 4000 x 4000. Kind regards Peter
