Full backup will not complete

I am using PSE14 and have tried three times to do a full backup using two Philips 64GB USB memory sticks. All three have failed with the following message - Error encountered while writing files. C:\Users\ahair\Pictures\My Catolog-all\FaceAnalysis\json\730259.json

Can anyone help?

    I will take your advice for future purchases. However, I have bought two 64Gb memory sticks and would like to use them.

    The file for backup is approx 75Gb. The backup failed before being prompted to insert the second stick.

    A backup from the Organizer saves both the photo files and the catalog (the database). That means you need a lot of space for the destination drive. For instance, I need 600 GB to store my catalog with 65 000 items. You won't go far with 64 GB sticks.

    Another problem is that there have been a number of reports for problems like yours with memory sticks (both in backup and retore). I'll do a few tests later to see what happens.

    First, I would never use memory sticks to store backups. Everybody now uses USB external drives (cheaper, more capacity and reliability), or perhaps network drives.

    Then, when you start the backup process, you are told the necessary space for the backup. Does this space exceed the 64 GB of the memory stick?
