Fuzzy text in Adobe Photoshop Elements 14

Question

When I type text into a text box it is appearing fuzzy and out of focus.  Black text looks grayish around the edges.  It prints the same way.  I've tried different fonts and different sizes, and they are all out of focus.  Smaller font sizes are even worse.  I haven't had this problem before.  How can I fix this?

Sorry that your fonts are looking pixelated in Photoshop Elements while using the Text tool.
