Hi I have Photoshop Elements 15 and Premier 15 on my Windows 10 computer and when I install Photoshop CS6 on my computer then after doing a restart I try to open my elements or premier it says I have to reinstall them and I get a error 16 message come up as well, If I uninstall CS6 then my elements and premier are ok I contacted the seller I got CS6 off and he say's you can not run both together, As I have Lightroom on  and On1 software on and they work OK.

Hi Hillyone,

Thanks for posting in Adobe forums.

I understand you are facing issue in opening Elements & getting "Error 16".

Can we follow the following steps:

- Right click the icon of Elements

- Click "Open File Location"

- Right click main icon of Element & click "Properties"

- Click "Compatibility Tab"

- Under Compatibility Mode, Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for"

- Select the latest version of Microsoft OS mentioned there.

- Click "Apply"

- Click "Security" tab

- Click "Edit"

- Click "Add"

- Type "Everyone" inside "Enter the object names to select"

- Click "Check Names"

- Click "Ok"

- Check "Allow" in all the permissions .

- Click "Apply"

- Click "Ok"

- Open & test Elements.

Hope this works

Thanks

Regards

Dhananjay

Hi Dhananjay

Thanks for getting back to me I did what you said was OK to start with then error came back so I did the same for CS6 and I got a page come up Program Compatibility Assistant saying did this program work correctly Adobe Photoshop Lite  so I did a search on the web for Adobe Photoshop Lite  and found out this on a website   There is no Photoshop Portable or Photoshop Lite version published or supported by Adobe. If you find a Photoshop Portable version available for download it is pretty well guaranteed it is an illegal cracked version of Photoshop which could potentially carry a virus or other malware.  So I have taken it of my computer as I was told it was CS6 and will not be using it. I bought it off Ebay and the seller stated on his page Software is obtained legally from broken PCs or laptops which no longer require them and it is legal to sell used licenses under EU law. If you want the sellers information I can send it to you, Thanks for your help.
