Is Photoshop Elements compatible with RAW photos from Pentax K1 II?  The orgainizer does to recognize the media on the Card Reader when trying to get photos into the organizer.

Yes, you need at least ACR 11.4.   THE FIRST TIME YOU TRY TO USE CAMERA RAW you will be prompted to download, I believe ACR 16.0 download and install it you will be fine.

YOU CAN JUST DOWNLOAD ACR FROM THE HELP MENU IN THE EDITOR.

NOTE:  THE "INSTALL CAMERA RAW" OPTION MAY NOT GREY OUT AFTER YOU INSTALL IT.
NOTE:  ACR in photoshop elements HAS LESS
functionality that ACR in the full version of photoshop.

Adobe made ACR a separate download to keep the main program editor smaller--- lots of users simply don't use ACR.

Note: (Specific to your camera and ACR 11.4-- these issues may have been fixed with the ACR you will download)

    • * Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution is not currently supported. When you open images that are captured in this mode, only the first raw image frame is displayed.
    • † The following limitations are specific to camera support for the Pentax K-3 II:
      • Pixel shift Resolution (PSR) mode was added in this release. Use a tripod and a two-second timer to minimize motion artifacts when in PSR mode.
      • Images created with the in-camera HDR mode are not supported in ACR and Lightroom. To shoot multi-capture HDR in raw mode, shoot separate files and merge to HDR using the ACR/Lightroom Merge feature. See HDR photo merge to learn more about merging files in Lightroom.

A final note or two:   All editing of raw images in PSE are non destructive.   That means you are working on a copy of the raw file-- the actual original raw image remains untouched.   IN PHOTOSHOP (Not PSE) you can edit the actuall RAW file.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
