Group Photo merge in PSE 15

The group photo merge doesn't seem to be working for me in PSE 15.  I can only find the option to use it under Guided Edits.  First off, when I click on two pictures I want to use the one I want to use as my final automatically is going into the source and I cannot seem to switch it over to final.  Also, after I make a selection on that photo, I only have a "next" button for something to happen.  When I click the next button it just goes back to the Guided Edits page to start all over again.  I watched a tutorial of this and it shows the group photo merge as an option under Enhance in the Expert mode, but I do not have any merge option in any of my menus.  Where is it?  Or how can I get the guided edit to actually work?  Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    Hello,

    Starting with the reason you cannot find, Group Photo Merge as an Option in Expert Mode, as in the tutorial. The tutorial you referred might be for previous version of Photoshop Elements. In later versions of PSE, all the options under Photomerge has been moved to Guided Edit Photomerge Room.

    In Guided Edit Photomerge Room you could find step by step tutorial to achieve the best group photo. You could make sure everyone in group photo is smiling, no closed eye or red eyes is seen.

    You need to have at least two or more image for this. Follow the below steps:

    1. Select two or more image in PSE, move to Guided Edit Room and click Photomerge Group Shot. This will ask you to select two or more media. Click on Open all if you have more.

    2. Choose the best among the two/more media which you want to be in final group photo as use it as final.  Drag/drop to final window.

    3. Now select the Source Window and you can use the other image as source.

    4. Observe the face in final image which has closed eyes /not visible/blur/red eye etc.

    5 Find the face in source image, zoom it if required using the zoom tool in left panel.

    6 Select the pencil tool from Right Panel, increase/decrease size of pencil if required.

    7 Go to Face in Source image and draw using the pencil, you will find the face in final image getting overlayed with the face in source image.

    8.Repeat this on multiple faces.

    9. If you see any abnormality, use erase/reset/Ctrl+Z options.

    10. When finished, click Next and save it.

    Note: if you do not make any change and click Next, this will see the Guided Page to start all over again, So you observed.

    Only difference you will find is in the way, Group Photomerge is initialized from Expert Room.
