Hand Tool isn't activating with the space bar in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 Editor

Just trying to work on an image in Elements ‘24 like usual, only to find the Hand Tool no longer appears when I press space.  I can bring it up when I press H, but I’m way too used to using the space bar to want to adjust my instincts.  Any suggestions?

    Maybe… It seems to have fixed itself.  Could have been another app.  Thanks, at any rate!

    Do you have any other apps open? Sometimes apps like Word, Excel or Numbers can hijack the space bar. If so, try closing background apps and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise you may need to re-set preferences.
