having a hard time looking at menus on laptop 100% scaling is too small 200% too big

I just took the plunge into adobe products.  Quite a bit of frustration so far.  I have a small laptop with a high definition display. There seems to be no way to change the size of the menu bars.  I did some searching on the net and there were ways to achieve this with manifest files and editing the registry etc. 

I simply want to to have a ui scaling between 100 and 200%.  I am using the latest windows 10 and elements 2021.  I have trouble even with reading glasses seeing the menu at 100% and with a setting of 200% the menus are huge and there is no window left to do any work.

Anyone have any suggestions?
