Having issues with horizontal text tool

Hello--I've been working with pre-made digital scrapbooking cards this month. On each card, I've taken the horizontal type tool, and dragged it to make a box. Then I type my daily entry into the box. The words I typed fit perfectly on the pre-made lines on the cards.

This was all going splendidly until yesterday, when I accidentally made my toolbar disappear. Clicking madly like a fool, I reset all my tools. Today, I've discovered that my text will no longer align in my box/on my lines perfectly. Someone in a Facebook forum for the scrapbooking group said to reset the tool. I tried that, and I tried restarting PSE again, but no dice.

I'm working with PSE 14.

Can anyone help me get my previous settings for the text tool back? And what other damage might I have done??
