Having technical difficulties with some of the tools.

Hello my name is Enrique Castelan, I am having some issues with Photoshop Elements 15. Some of the tools aren't working properly. I use the Guided mode, I click on the Fun Edits, I use Painterly, but the paint brush tool won't paint at all. I tried changing the brush size & opacity, but it still doesn't work. Also, the Zoom Burst Effect isn't working either, well when I click the Add Zoom Burst, it does work, but when I click Add Focus Area, it doesn't focus at all. Please I am in dire need for you guys to fix these issues. I've never had a problem until now. I am a photographer that at times needs to enhance pictures for my clientele that ask for specific tasks on their pictures. Thank you.
