I tried to open my adobe photoshop elements 14 editor and it says that the application has been damaged and that I need to reinstall the application. But I don't want to have to pay for this again!

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please try rebooting your machine and then launch PSE.

Let us know if issue still persists.

    Thanks,

I did what you suggested before I wrote my problem.  I also uninstalled PS15, reinstalled it, updated it, and rebooted after reinstallation.  Problem persists.

Did you use the Cleaner Tool?

    Download from here:

    Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10

You may need to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool (Yes, it works for Photoshop Elements):

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

you can log in to adobe.com with your email and password and re-download 14 without charge.  Once in your computer you only need to have your product key to install it.
