Hiding XMP Sidecar File Elements 2023

Question

I am trying to imbed the XMP files into the raw files and can't get it to work with Elements 2023.

I have tried using the prefs in the Camera Raw dialog box. I've tried every combination and the XMP file still shows up.

I have been able to hide the sidecar file in Elements 2020, but I'm not having luck with this new version.

from an answer  given in 2019::No and yes. Camera companies raw files are singualr individual units and cannot be altered or changed. That's why there's no "save" option in ACR.  However, DNG images are containers that contained all of the original raw data and can also contain other things such as XMP metadata. I've been converting all of my raw Cannon images into DNGs from the very beginning and have had no issues or problems. If you take a folder of your raw images (and also contianing all of the XMP data) and use the DNG converter tool, after conversion you can toss all of the raw images and the XMP data and you'll be fine. When I ingest the images from my camera's card, I do the conversion at the time of ingestion and never see a Canon raw image on my camera.
