Question

How can I launch Photoshop Elements Photo Editor without first navigating to the home screen?

It was simple to build a shortcut in PSE2021 to launch the photo editor without navigating the home screen. All you had to do was locate the appropriate.exe file and make a shortcut to it. I've been attempting to do the same with PSE 2022 but can't find the correct.exe file. Adobe appears to have made some changes in PSE2022 to make things more difficult (if not impossible). Is there any way to get to the photo editor without going through the home screen? If so, what exactly is it?

Thanks

PSE 2022 shortcuts work just like they do for PSE 21.  At least, they do in Windows 10.  See my post here.  Make sure you are looking for the file:  PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe.  Users frequently confuse it with the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 entry in the folder which is just a shortcut to the Home Screen.

If you purchased the program from the Microsoft Store, then different rules may apply.  But you should still be able to pin the Editor to the taskbar as explained in my linked post.
