How can I remove a redness caused by restaurant lighting from my pictures?

We had a family gathering at a restaurant with dark lighting. The photos from our cell phones (and even from our cameras) were dark with a red cast. I have tried fixing this with various elements, but have never gotten it fixed as I would like. Any suggestions?
