Question

How do I install a .jsx file into Photoshop Elements 2024?

I'm a long-time Elements user (since Elements 3 I think) and I have some recently acquired .jsx files I need to use in Elements 2024, but I cannot find an answer anywhere on the web, including the Adobe forums.

Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You can put the scripts (.jsx) in the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 Presets scripts folder and see if they show under File>Automation Tools.

Mac

Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024/Support Files/Presets/scripts

Windows

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2024\Presets\Scripts

What operating system are you using?

It depends on the coding in the scripts (.jsx) files.

When one installs scripts (.jsx) for Photoshop in the Photoshop (version #)>Presets>Scripts folder they are automatically

put in the File>Scripts menu, however, for Photoshop Elements there needs to be code (javascriptresource) in the the scripts for them to show on the File>Automation Tools menu.

Are these scripts compatible with photoshop elements 2024?

What are the scripts supposed to do?
