How do I super impose one image over another?

This topic has been closed for replies.
Correct answer hatstead
  1. Open image A
  2. Open image B
  3. On image B, use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object which you wish to "superimpose"
  4. Go to Edit menu>copy to put the object on the clipboard
  5. Go back to image A
  6. Go to Edit>paste. The object will be on its own layer
  7. Get the move tool out of the toolbox, and position the object and resize, if indicated

Thank you for indicating the actual steps I need to take in order to create the image.

After using Hatstead's method, lower the opacity of the face layer.

If this is not the effect you want, please clarity.

I am looking for a blend where you have a face and its a forest in her head.

If you have Elements 2019, you can use the double-exposure Guided Edit to create something like this:

I followed these steps, however I did not like the size. How to resize the object?

1. Click on the layer in the Layers Panel that contains the object you want to resize

2. Choose the Move Tool.

3. Move the mouse cursor over one of the four corners of the object until it turns into a diagonal double-headed arrow.

4. Click and drag the corner to resize the image proportionally (so it looks nice).

5. Or click and drag on one of the sides (a horizontal or vertical double-headed arrow) to make it stretch in that direction (but that usually makes it look not so nice)
