Question

How do I update Photoshop Elements 12 Editor to 64 bit?

Hi, I recently updated my Mac to macOSHighSierra.  Now when I sign into my Photoshop Elements it's telling me I need to contact the software developer about upgrading to 64 bits from 32.  I've looked around this site but I'm not sure how to go about this.  Do I have to purchase the new Photoshop 2018?

Thanks for any help!

Photoshop elements 12 itself is an 64 bit application, but some of the services included with it like the adobe application manager that is used for checking for updates is 32 bit.

There won't be any updates for photoshop elements versions that adobe no longer sells to meet the new requirements for 64 bit only software, but i don't think you need to worry about that for awhile, since even apple isn't giving a timeline for when 32 bit applications will absolutely not run on macOS.

Your photoshop elements 12 should still work as it always has as long as you stay with High Sierra. After that who knows.
