How do you add a simple drop shadow or stoke to text in PSE

all I want to do is add a simple drop shadow or stoke to text in PSE

the tutorials give me all the "cool" stuff and that is not what I am seeking?

Oops forgot to mention version PSE 15

One of two easy ways:

1. Go to Layer>Layer Style>Style Settings and add both a Drop Shadow and Stroke.

2. Go to Window>Styles and add a Drop Shadow or Stroke from the presets.

You can edit the settings at anytime by double clicking on the fx in the layers panel.
