How do you reduce the imagine so the object is at a distance?

Thanks in advance for helping. I have a photo of two people and when I go to print preview of the imagine, you can only see their faces.

How do I reduce the actual size of the couple so I can print a 5x7 with them a little more in the distance?

Suggest that you crop the picture in Editor to 5x7". When you go to print, the dialog that comes up should have a paper size option 5x7".
