Question

how to edit points on a drawn line?

Is it possible to add and edit anchor points on a line in Photoshop Elements? I want to draw a line that is straight, then angled, then straight again, and if I don't get the angles right free-hand, I'd like to edit the anchor points to reshape the line. When I click on the line I've drawn, I get a selection box that allows me to move the whole line or resize the line, but I don't see how to edit the individual points of the line.

    1. Open the grid (View menu>Grid). It will help with orientation and will not print.
    2. Activate the line tool (U), which is in the slot under shape selection tool.
    3. Drag out a straight line, release the mouse, drag out a line that is angled with reference to the first line, then another straight line.
    4. In the layers palette, you should see 4 layers: Background, shape 1, shape 2, shape 3
    5. Now, for drill, with shape 3 layer active, press CTRL+T to activate the transform tool. Manipulate the line to suit, using the anchor points and the little arrow that displays outside the bounding box.

Further to above, if you need the angles to be precise, go to Google images and look for "Protractor" and you can download a free Protractor with transparent background (PNG file).
