I have been using Elements 7 for many years and I have about 24000 photos organized and tagged very carefully. Now I upgraded to 14. How can I import the old catalogs so that I can enjoy the wonderful oraganizing tools? The conversion of the old catalog went without problems. All the photos were tagged and I was happy. BUT when I try to import a new photo the whole program halts. This occurs in Windows 10 and in Mac OS. Please help, someone!!

Are you able to launch Organizer and able to open the images and see associated tags in the converted catalog? Also, you have mentioned that this issue is on both Windows and Mac. Is it the same catalog which you are using on Windows and Mac?

Thanks,

Thank you for your interest!

Launch of Organizer succeeds without a problem. I see all the images and the tags. Everything seems to work perfectly, except Importing new images. Organizer stops responding when I try to import jast a single image. (task manager shows that it is running, it is not in "Not responding" state). The only activity is a small activity circle running in the lower left corner of the screen.

I used the same catalog in both Win10 and Mac. I used the backup/restore procedure to move from Win to Mac. The same catalog works on PSE7.

Thanks
