How to Import photos with scanner on MAC in Photoshop 12 and 15

HI Recently purchased Epson V600 scanner. Installed all software and latest driver for iMac Sierra. All Epson utilities work OK and Image capture. But cannot get Scanner option to appear in Photoshop Elements 12 or 15. I have copied and pasted the TWAIN plug as described in Steve Grisetti's book The Muvipix Guide to Photoshop 12. Not sure what else to try. Cannot immediately find anything on Forums. Chris
