How to match a new layer to the original image

Hi everyone,

English is not my first language so hopefully, I'll do my best to get my question across.

My question is this: I'm working on an original image and want to add a new layer to it. Can I match colors, contrast, sharpness of this new layer?

For example, I work a lot on landscapes but sometimes want to add new details here and there by pasting a new layer onto the image and of course the color schemes and other details do not match.
