How to Remove Photos From the Cloud

I have photos onm a CD that are in the Cloud. I never intentionally put them there. I want to be able to work on photos without being connected to the internet. I prefer not having to delete them or send them to the Trash in order to remove them from the Cloud. However, if that's the only way for removal, that's okay.

Also, how do I stop photos from being automatically stored in the Cloud?  I'm using Photoshop Elements 2020 on a MacBook Pro.

Which Cloud are you seeing your photos on?

Adobe's Cloud and Apple's iCloud are completely independent of each other.

I have no Adobe Cloud subscription and I do not use Apple's Photos. I do have a Dropbox accoount that's new so maybe that's why I'm in the Cloud. Thank you.

OK. So not an issue related to Adobe or Apple then.

Sounds like you're viewing your Dropbox account online using your browser.

All files, including photos, which you save into your Dropbox folder on your local hard drive on your MacBook Pro will be automatically synced by Dropbox to your Dropbox account on the web.

You can control what gets synced and what doesn't via the Selective Sync feature in Dropbox

Elements 2020 does not have any Cloud feature.

I know nothing about Macs, but maybe you need to look into your iCloud account settings.

I don't use Apple's Photos but I do have a Dropbox account. I need to investigate further. Thanks.
